Private poultry sector association facilitation, ENTAG

Poultry private sector facilitation under ENTAG will provide services for the development of Ethiopian poultry private sector. The program organizes platform meetings, in order to create public private dialogue between private poultry farm owners and other stakeholders in the sector including concerned government offices. These meetings also help to strengthen membership in the existing poultry association. The program also plans to support in capacity building, facilitation of training on bottle neck problems of the sector, and Organize trade mission and B2B events, Technology and knowledge transfer platforms, facilitation of technical support for poultry platform members, follow-up of the issues raised in the platform meetings, are the activities that are implemented.

Ethiopian poultry producers and processors association (EPPPA)

Ethiopian Poultry Producers Association (EPPA) is a membership based sector association established on March 20, 2011 by 10 volunteer Ethiopian Poultry Producers. The association was established in accordance with the 1952 commercial code of Ethiopia and a sectoral association establishment proclamation no 341/2003. Members of the association range from small to big enterprises. The association was set up with the aim of providing services for its members and assisting the development of poultry sector in Ethiopia. Starting from November 2015 it has amended its name to Ethiopian Poultry Producers and Processors Association (EPPPA). EPPPA’s current office is located at Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Poultry platform meeting

The third Poultry Platform meeting of poultry sector under ENTAG project will be held on Wednesday April 26, 2017 from 8:30 Am – 1:30 Pm at Harmony hotel Addis Ababa. This, 3rd poultry platform meeting is organized by Ethiopia-Netherlands Trade for Agricultural Growth (ENTAG) Project in cooperation with the Ethiopian Poultry Producers and Processors Association (EPPPA).
