Over the past years Dutch investments have steadily increased and the Netherlands is among the most prominent investors in Ethiopia. In terms of number of investments, the Netherlands is the number one investor from the European Union. Presently, there are around one hundred separate Dutch investments in Ethiopia, many of them in floriculture, but also in other sectors such as fruits and vegetables, livestock, agro-processing, breweries, light manufacturing, construction, services and tourism. Many Dutch investors in the country are interested in expanding their investments, while various new investors are exploring their entrance strategy into the Ethiopian market.
